Once we received the PO from DIPL, we gained permission for a site office, then produced policies and procedures for the job, that we continue using to this day. We fully fenced off the area of works so we could work during normal school hours and not affect the school. Privacy screening was installed to prevent distractions for students as well as safety reasons.

We liased closely with the school and DIPL to personalise the job to better suit the school, new playground equipment and space allocated. This challenged us to create the amazing rubber patterns and colours.  All purchase orders for the new materials and rubber soft fall were raised, with a lead time of two weeks.  The school supplied the  playground equipment.

We then proceeded with site set up and set out, starting demolition and concrete kerbing. After set out of the site and discussion with the school, a small part of the existing fence was to be relocated to allow existing hedges to remain in place. A small variation was applied for the install of the new fence.

We organised a crew of skilled rubber installers to assist with the rubber pour. It was over 200 square meters so additional skilled labour was required.

Our staff thoroughly enjoyed working at Forrest Parade School. It was a welcoming community. Despite some of the challenges associated with small spaces this project was completed on time and delivered on budget. Site safety and WHS were applied on site and the project was completed without any incidents.
